Stators and rotors

Stators and rotors are the basic building blocks of a motor. The stators are fixed in the housing and constitute a stationary part of the motor, while the rotor is a rotating part. The stator is most often made of a package of sheets constituting its winding. Similarly, the rotor placed on the shaft consists of thin ferromagnetic sheets.
