The DE1 series frequency inverters are a new class of devices which combines functionality of a frequency inverter with ease of installation and handling typical for classic motor starters in one device. PowerXL DE1/DE11 allows the user to reach the desired energy efficiency for a specific usage with the use of rotation speed control while the assembly and start-up are as easy as in case of typical motor starters. DE1/DE11 is constructed based on a “no unnecessary shutdowns” rule which means it automatically prevents needless shutdowns in various extreme situations. All of this to ensure maximal availability of the machine while limiting potential downtimes to minimum. Due to the need of reaching energy efficiency required by the ErP directive there is an increase of demand for drive technologies with variable rotation speed of the motor, also in case of applications that have simpler functionality. Frequency inverters are designed for much more complex applications and require a suitable expertise. The situation is different when it comes to the new PowerXL DE1 motor starter with speed control - it allows the users to achieve the desired energy efficiency without worrying about the assembly or start-up as they are as simple as in case of more standard motor starters.
